Junior High Evangelization
Helping Teens Discover a Lifelong Vocation in Christ
OLPH Junior High Youth Ministry is a high-energy faith formation program for seventh and eighth grade youth interested in discovering how to grow in their relationship with God and live out their Catholic faith. The YM Central program serves as the primary catechetical program for junior high students.
In addition to these youth meetings, youth will periodically participate in Large Group sessions, hear dynamic and talented speakers, have fun, make friends, and most importantly grow in their relationship with God and the Catholic Church.
For more information on the program we use, please visit ymcentral.com.
When We Meet
The Junior High Ministry meets every Monday from 6:00-7:30pm in the hall. The youth session is a requirement for all youth who are enrolled in our sacramental preparation program.
What is Junior High Youth Ministry (JYM)?
OLPH Junior High Youth Ministry is a growing and vibrant Catholic youth program specifically tailored for youth in grades 7 and 8 who attend any of the area public or private schools. The ministry emphasizes the building of a Christ-centered foundation using strong Catholic principles to meet the goal of evangelizing young adolescents while supporting them in their walk with Jesus.

Our youth ministry would not be possible without its Christ-centered parental support! There are many ways you can be of assistance, which are listed on our Volunteer Opportunities page. Here are a few suggestions:
- Become an OLPH catechist.
- Chaperone for YM events.
- Food Donations
- Prayer Warriors
However you plan to participate, we welcome and appreciate your time. We promise you will get more out of it than expected!
Will my child be bored?
NO! Learning about Jesus has never been more fun! Junior High Youth have reached an age where they want more than just "Sunday School." These youth have a need and desire to spend time together in a safe place where they can be themselves.
JYM provides numerous outlets for fun and socializing in addition to spiritual formation. Youth may select from a side array of social activities. These events are scheduled at various times and places. When you register your youth, you will be given an events calendar. Keep it nearby or on the fridge.
